Grand Jury

LISBON — Joshua D. Stewart, 31, West Pershing Street, Salem, was served a secret indictment charging him with aggravated possession of drugs. On June 25, 2019, Stewart allegedly had methamphetamine and psilocyn and then on Aug. 23, 2019 Stewart allegedly had methamphetamine exceeding the bulk amount. The indictment was issued by the grand jury in August.

Anthony Dennis Parada, 25, Wintersville, was served a secret indictment charging him with trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana, along with a forfeiture specification. On Dec. 17, 2019, Parada allegedly had marijuana more than 1,000 grams, but less than 5,000 grams, prepared for sale or delivery, along with $4,000 believed to be derived from drug-related activities. The indictment was issued by the grand jury in March.

Joshua Charles Hughes, 37, South Market Street, East Palestine, was served a secret indictment charging him with possession of cocaine for allegedly having less than five grams of the substance on Aug. 29, 2019. The indictment was issued by the grand jury in July.

Michael A. Hamilton, 31, East Fourth Street, Salem, is charged with two counts of harassment with a bodily substance, accused of throwing or expelling bodily substances at two corrections officers, Jacob McIntosh and Nicholas Nelson on March 14. The secret indictment was issued by the grand jury in August.

Court News

LISBON — Christina R. Holley, 39, Spaite Drive, East Palestine, pleaded guilty in Common Pleas Court to aggravated trafficking in drugs, a third-degree felony, with a forfeiture specification. Sentencing is set for Nov. 16, when she faces up to a three-year prison sentence, a five-year license suspension and a $10,000 fine. On June 15, 2019, Holley had methamphetamines and $712 derived from drug-related offenses.

Justin O. Smith, 36, West Pershing Street, Salem, pleaded guilty to a fourth-degree felony OVI. He faces up to 30 months in prison, a $10,500 fine, a lifetime license suspension and a forfeiture of the vehicle. Sentencing is set for Nov. 9.

Municipal Court

LISBON — In county Municipal Court, Sean S. Crislip, 32, Vienna, was bound over to the grand jury on charges of tampering with evidence and obstructing official business for allegedly throwing evidence out of a passenger window while a vehicle was fleeing Salem police on Aug. 13 and then fleeing from the vehicle into the woods. Items collected included counterfeit money and bags for the storage of dangerous drugs.

Mark A. Walton, 54, Crawford Road, Wellsville, was bound over to the grand jury on charges of domestic violence, assault and resisting arrest. The charge stem from Walton allegedly pushing Danise Moore into a wall and throwing a bed frame and mattress toward her on Aug. 8 and then fighting with the deputies Sgt. Brandon Hoppel and Sgt. Kevin Shulas when he was informed he was under arrest.

A Sept. 3 pretrial was set for Tabbithia L. Boyd, 36, North Lundy Avenue, Salem, cited with OVI first offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years, open container and left of center.

An Oct. 1 pretrial was set for Matthew P. Soldo, 40, West Pershing Street, Salem, cited with OVI first offense, driving under suspension, failure to control and a seat belt violation.

Tatyanna Anderson, 18, New Castle, Pa., was fined $875, had her license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 40 hours community service for OVI first offense, possession of marijuana and left of center.

An Aug. 27 pretrial was set for Joshua D. Stewart, 31, West Pershing Street, Salem, cited with driving under FRA suspension, a turn signals violation and possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly having a glass narcotics pipe in his backpack on Thursday.

Julie A. Crenshaw, 32, Warren, was fined $285 for driving under suspension and speeding.

William Wright, 67, Clarksdale, Miss., was fined $150 for a lighted lights require amended from left of center.

Bradley Michael Mallo, 24, North Madison Avenue, Salem, was fined $130 for driving under suspension and failure to yield the right of way.

Aaron J. Kelter, 45, West Wood Court, Alliance, was fined $100 for driving under FRA suspension.

Alison Achey, 43, Conkle Road, Salem, was fined $100 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.
